John is from Cincinnati, I'm not.

I'm from Sweden if anyone missed that! I'm now back in the U.S though and it feels great to be honest! The trip here went unbelievably smoothly; none of the flights were late and it went smooth through both customs and the border. When I got back, there were no time to rest though since me and Rick went to NYC to meet up with the lovely Isabelle for the weekend! We had an awesome time there, went to some bars, hung out in the park, did some shopping etc. A very nice weekend over all!

When we got home I bought a Wii. The best buy ever btw! This machine is soo much fun, now I can go bowl, play a match of tennis or even a round of golf right in the bed room! Awesome! And off course I bought the new Zelda game and it's actually very nice! I haven't played for that long, but I've completed the first temple at least, and I'm very happy with the game so far! I bought another controller so that me and rick can play together, which is just hilarious. I beat him every time... not.

I started to watch a new series too; John from Cincinnati. A very strange, smart and funny series that everyone should check out! HBO so they can curse :D

Other than that, shit is back to normal! I'm registred for classes finally, so that feels good! School starts in 3-4 weeks!

Oh, btw, I almost have no reception on my cell in the apartment any more, no idea why. So if I'm late with answering texts and shit, that's why!

Peace out yo!

Save the earth, by killing it just a little bit more.

Don't get me wrong, the thought behind the "Live Earth" gala is wonderful; inform people about the fact that our earth is dying. There is a problem with that whole approach though; when one of the bands playing at the event have played for around 5 minutes, as much energy as one person spend in a month will have been spent. That seems very hypocritical to me.

Flying artists across the globe
Light on stage
Sound on stage
All the people going to the concerts
All the people watching it on TV at home for 24 (!!!) hours
etc etc

So informing people about this problem is a great thing, BUT there are a lot of other ways that you can inform people without being a hypocrite and spending a LOT of energy yourself. For instance, why not take an already existing show, say for instance American Idol, and make it a "Green" theme show? Or take the money that you would have to spend to make a thing like Live Earth work and put that into creating mandatory education about global warming in every school? Or every network could sacrifice one spot for commercial during their top rated shows for the sake of the planet?
Making a big big show, with concerts at 9 different locations, not even having the artists play at the venue closest to their home but instead flying Xzibit, Rihanna and Linking Park to Tokyo, and having artists like Snoop Dogg that obviously doesn't care about this shit at all, playing at the event, just doesn't make sense...

If it made a significant impact on people, and we will start to see a difference after this, I will take back everything that I just wrote. But if I know humanity right, tomorrow almost everyone will go back to caring more about what Paris Hilton wears than what they can do to save the planet.

Family Matters

I spent the weekend out in our summer house together with my family! It was very pleasant actually, my grandma has a birthday tomorrow so it was kind of a celebration to her but also a "hey I'm home"-thingy for me. There was a lot of people out there actually; my youngest older sister and her boyfriend, my grandma and grandpa, my aunt her husband and my cousin with girlfriend, my grandmas brother and his wife, and off course my mom, dad, and brother! There were a lot of drinking and eating involved, we shoot some bow, played some typical swedish games (Kubb), and just hung out.
The summer house is newly renovated and it's just amazingly beautiful, big windows everywhere that overlooks the ocean and the forest view, awesome bathrooms, and very bright and very "designy" everywhere. On top of that it has become a very "green" house, in that matter that we have very modern bathroom solutions; the waste falls down to a big tank underneath the house where it turns into mulch and dirt. The heating of the house comes from underneath the ground, and my dad has plans of putting up Sun-screens that will provide the house with electricity. We have internet in almost every room and now my sisters boyfriend fixed so that we have wireless internet in the whole house too. It's just a very modern but very green house! I like!

When my family meets, there are certain stories that have to be told, over and over again, one is about me; how I sang a song wrong when I was very young, another is when my grandpa flipped a plate over and a sausage fell in his lap, and so on and so on. These are fun stories and all, but I think we need to have some new ones cause they are getting pretty old. My mom and her sister always laughs a LOT and it's very funny, they both have a very distinct laugh that sounds exactly the same! It's hilarious! Me, my cousin and his girlfriend sat up late and just talked about a lot of stuff, that was very nice too! They are good people! I showed some movies of the coasters I have ridden, and the coasters that I will ride when me and Rick goes to Cedar Point in August!

It was a very pleasant weekend, and today everyone went back home, including me. So here I am, all alone in a big house in Sweden, with one word in mind: PARTY!!!
Hehe, maybe not, but I will probably have a small gathering sometime soon!

Until then, peace out, keep it real, and stay black!
