I blame Taco Bell!

It was a while ago since I wrote something on here, I've just been crazy busy with school. Good thing is that I'm doing very well! I only got one wrong on my first history test, a B on my first English paper, a B on my first Biology test and A's on the two first math tests! So I'm keeping up, but damn it's much to do. Tomorrow the next english paper is due, and I'm pretty much done with it, so that's nice. Tuesday I have my practical midterm exam in Biology Lab, and that's gonna suck. It's such a hard class and I hope that I will do ok, I'm gonna start studying for it after I've wrote this!

The other day I was on my way home from school and felt like some Taco Bell for lunch. Appearantly Taco Bell would not take my Visa card, I got the food and the Taco Bell people said "ehm.. you can go and take out some cash and come back to pay". So I did, nice as I am, and they seemed very surprised that I came back to pay. When I was on my way home from Taco Bell I stopped behind this SUV at a red light, and I just realized that I didn't get any sauce from Taco Bell. While I'm looking in my bag for sauce, my foot slipped off the brake and I slammed into the SUV in front of me... One very big guy and his driving girlfriend came out cursing and shit and all I could say was that I was sorry, we drove into a parking lot and examined their car and it seemed as if nothing happened to it. Not a scratch could be seen on their car, but they took my insurance information anyway but they probably wont file anything since no damage was visuable. So that sucked, and I'm gonna sue Taco Bell for it. Ok maybe not, but I should!! This is also proof of that Karma does not exist, I was nice enough to go back and pay Taco Bell for the food, and then I slam into a car on the way home? Fuck that, no more mr. nice guy!

As most of you shiver in the cold Swedish winter, I'm enjoying 30 degrees heat! I was off from school tuesday so I went to the beach to study! It was awesome, just laying there in the hot sun and doing some homework, I thought about my fellow Swedes and laughed in an evil way! I'm so gonna pay for it though, because today it's only 20 degrees outside. The temperature is supposed to come up again soon though, so that's nice! Shorts in October is teh shit!

I also bought a new videogame a couple of weeks ago, I haven't had much time to play it until just recently. The game is Skate and it's awesome! Very realistic and it has an incredibly nice feeling to it. It reminds me of when I used to skate and how much fun that was. In comparison to the only skateboarding series that existed before; The Tony Hawk series, this is truly something else! It also has an online feature with rankings and whatnot. It's a lot of fun competing online against other players, or just skating together with other people and try to bust the biggest trick!
The offline game is big as shit, you have a whole city to skate around in, and you can skate on almost everything you see. One cool feature is the replay editor, with which you can edit what you just did and put effects on your movie and then publish it on the net! The game has a lot of small things that's irritating though, but overall it's truly an awesome game! A review of the game will be up in Swedish on http://www.snitch.se soon!

I have some more things to talk about, but I have to start studying now, so I will leave that for the next post!

Peace Puss to you all!

Intense!

Damn, this week has been crazy, I knew that I had a English paper due, and a math test, but I got so much other stuff to do monday... I have been studying basically all my free time this week. Today it has calmed down a bit, I have some homework to do, but not much, and since I'm off tomorrow, I will do that then! I'm just glad that this week is almost over! I killed the math test btw, I think I will get a really good grade on that one, and I also think I did very good on my English paper!

This weekend me and my roommate is going to a beach, a friend of ours has rented a beach house together with his girl friend for the weekend and they invited us to come down there! I'm not really sure where it's located, all I know it's about 2.5 hours from here and on a beach! So that will be cool, a nice relaxing weekend after this hectic week of school!

Not much else has happened, school is taking up almost all my time, and the rest of my time I'm too tired to do shit, so I mostly watch TV or play video games. Big brother 8 ends on Thursday (it's soooo much better than the Swedish version) and a daughter and a dad that hadn't spoke in 4 years or something is probably gonna win... They played the game in an very good way, but they weren't very nice doing it though... but I guess they deserve to win since they have made it this far! Being mean apparently works in the Big Brother game! Survivor starts next week, and that's an awesome reality show actually, the reality shows here is so different from the ones in Sweden. Here it's a game, in Sweden they just take the dumbest, blondest and the most big breasted girls (and the male opposite), throw some alcohol on them and film it... not very fun.

Speaking of dumb, blond girls... some American girls (read, most) are just so annoying... I have Biology Lab once a week and the first time I ended up with this group that had a guy in it that didn't give a shit about what we did, he just wanted to get out of there as fast as possible. The second time I ended up in a group with 4 girls that started fighting and I got in between. I mean, come the fuck on... I'm there to learn, and these people apparently don't give a shit about that, and it throws me off. But I'm trying to ignore it and focus on what I'm doing instead!

Ok, that's all for now! Peace out folks!

School has begun!

And damn it's so much to do, right away too. I have homework everyday, books I need to read in order to keep up with the classes, and my first english paper is due next friday... So I'm loaded with stuff to do. Which actually is very nice, something to occupy my time with, it's just a little overwhelming when it's so much right away. I've decided to not study anything today because I'm too tired to think straight.

The classes I'm taking now is, English 112, History 102, Math 4, and Biology 101 including 3 hours of lab every week. The hardest class so far is biology, it's incredibly interesting, but it's also a whole lot of big words which makes i so hard for me to understand. I thought I could fake it at first, and just remember which word does what, but I found out that that doesn't work very well. So I have a lot of catching up to do this weekend, it's a 3 day weekend because monday is Labor day, some type of holiday.

Even though I have so much studying to do, I have started to write some reviews for a recently instated website called snitch.se. I am in charge of the videogames-section, which suits me perfectly. My first review is of the game Metroid Prime 3: Corruption for the Wii. The site is completely in Swedish, so you non-swedish-speaking readers won't understand the review at all, but I can tell you that the game is awesome! Using the WiiMote to move around is truly amazing and it makes you really forget about reality for a while!
My review can be found here!

Other than that, not much has happened, I'm focusing on school as much as I have the energy to (which means doing homework and shit for about 3-4 hours a day...)and the rest of my time, I'm too tired to do anything physical. The writing is a nice break, so is the videogames, so it's really cool that those two things goes hand in hand for me now! I'm hoping to get some games from Nintendo that I can review, but that will probably not happen.
My next review is probably going to be of the Roller Coaster Tycoon series. Me and my roommate is working on a theme park right now that will blow you away when you see it! It's basically perfect so far! If anyone is interested you can find two pics of our park here!

Peace out y'all! Show me the money, shoooow it!

Are you Superbad?

I saw a trailer for the movie Superbad long ago and decided then that I was going to see that movie so hard. It premiered friday and I just got home from seeing it. And DAAAMN it was funny. Way over my expecta- tions!

It's about two guys that are best friends, they are in their last weeks in high school and unfortunatly they didn't get in to the same college so this is basically the last weeks together. They get invited to a party at one of the "cool" kids house and are given the task to find liquor to the party because their friend just got a fake ID with the name "Mc Lovin" on it (that's the whole name on the card). This causes a lot of problems which is very funny.
The movie is made by the same guys who made Talladega Nights (which I actually hated and turned of after half the movie) and the 40 year old Virgin, but it's waaaaay funnier than both of those movies. Awesome casting too, the characters were spot on!

Everybody should check that movie out! You won't get disappointed!

Btw, school starts Friday. Yay!

Peace out gangstas!

Cedar Point

Last Thursday we decided to do a 10 hour road trip up to Ohio and the worlds best Amusement park; Cedar Point. The park has 17 roller coasters and a bunch of other fun stuff to do. They have the most insane rides I have ever been on. Top Thrill Dragster for instance... It starts off by blowing you forward until you have reached 120 mph (200 km/h) then you turn straight up for 420 feet (128 m) goes over a small hill and then straight down while you're doing a twist. The ride is over after only 17 seconds, but daaaamn it was some scary seconds. Off course I had to put my arms up at the top of the track and held them there until the car was stopped! :D
Because of the wonderful invention of youtube, I can actually show you what it looks like!

Ignore the music

Other than that one, they have one of the tallest "Giga Coasters" in the world; the Millenium Force, we did the mistake of waiting until it was dark before riding that one, and since the train goes thru woods there was tons of bugs everywhere, and when you are going fast as hell straight in to bugs you get them everywhere. We actually didn't get that many bugs on us, but the guys sitting in the front seat had them everywhere!

Ignore the music after a while, it's ok in the beginning though.

The newest ride they have is called Maverick and damn that one was intense. It wasnt that high, but it had a 95 degree drop, and went fast as hell! The only problem with that one was that the lines where sooooo long. We waited in line for 2 hours and 45 minutes... it was worth it though :)

Other cool things they have is a ride that looks like a giant swing, that swings you so high and it feels like you are gonna fall to the ground any minute, very scary. Another ride that also is a big swing only that it has a big wheel on the end which spins around as you get swung from one end to another, also very scary. They had white water rapids that you got completely soaked in, and indoor coaster (which we didnt ride), tons of other coasters, wooden and steel, free fall drops etc etc.

Giant Swing:

Swing with giant wheel on it:

It was a very very fun weekend and it was well worth both the 10 hour drive there and home, and the long long lines for the rides! So if you ever are considering going there, go go go!

So long, suckas!

John is from Cincinnati, I'm not.

I'm from Sweden if anyone missed that! I'm now back in the U.S though and it feels great to be honest! The trip here went unbelievably smoothly; none of the flights were late and it went smooth through both customs and the border. When I got back, there were no time to rest though since me and Rick went to NYC to meet up with the lovely Isabelle for the weekend! We had an awesome time there, went to some bars, hung out in the park, did some shopping etc. A very nice weekend over all!

When we got home I bought a Wii. The best buy ever btw! This machine is soo much fun, now I can go bowl, play a match of tennis or even a round of golf right in the bed room! Awesome! And off course I bought the new Zelda game and it's actually very nice! I haven't played for that long, but I've completed the first temple at least, and I'm very happy with the game so far! I bought another controller so that me and rick can play together, which is just hilarious. I beat him every time... not.

I started to watch a new series too; John from Cincinnati. A very strange, smart and funny series that everyone should check out! HBO so they can curse :D

Other than that, shit is back to normal! I'm registred for classes finally, so that feels good! School starts in 3-4 weeks!

Oh, btw, I almost have no reception on my cell in the apartment any more, no idea why. So if I'm late with answering texts and shit, that's why!

Peace out yo!

Save the earth, by killing it just a little bit more.

Don't get me wrong, the thought behind the "Live Earth" gala is wonderful; inform people about the fact that our earth is dying. There is a problem with that whole approach though; when one of the bands playing at the event have played for around 5 minutes, as much energy as one person spend in a month will have been spent. That seems very hypocritical to me.

Flying artists across the globe
Light on stage
Sound on stage
All the people going to the concerts
All the people watching it on TV at home for 24 (!!!) hours
etc etc

So informing people about this problem is a great thing, BUT there are a lot of other ways that you can inform people without being a hypocrite and spending a LOT of energy yourself. For instance, why not take an already existing show, say for instance American Idol, and make it a "Green" theme show? Or take the money that you would have to spend to make a thing like Live Earth work and put that into creating mandatory education about global warming in every school? Or every network could sacrifice one spot for commercial during their top rated shows for the sake of the planet?
Making a big big show, with concerts at 9 different locations, not even having the artists play at the venue closest to their home but instead flying Xzibit, Rihanna and Linking Park to Tokyo, and having artists like Snoop Dogg that obviously doesn't care about this shit at all, playing at the event, just doesn't make sense...

If it made a significant impact on people, and we will start to see a difference after this, I will take back everything that I just wrote. But if I know humanity right, tomorrow almost everyone will go back to caring more about what Paris Hilton wears than what they can do to save the planet.
