A's and passing tests!

I rock!!!

First math test: A, First English paper: A! I am on fire when it comes to school! I am very worried about the history test coming up this monday though... I will have to study every day for that, the problem is that my birthday is on friday, and my roommate and I (Happy sis'? :P) is going up to DC on a Justin Timberlake concert. And will not be back probably untill saturday. So I have to bring my history book and study during the weekend that was supposed to be very calm and just fun... Not cool, but I have to deal with it.

Today I went to the DMV's office (the place where one fix a drivers licence) and was going to get my Learners permit. There was a test that I needed to pass before getting the permit, and I passed it! It was really close though, if I would have missed one more question I would have failed (I got 21 out of 25 question, and 10 out of 10 on the sign test). So now I have my learners permit, and I have driven for the first time for real! Very nice! I did some things wrong, almost drove through a red light for example, but I did pretty good overall according to my roommate!
It feels really good to finally have that problem out of the world, or well, I can't drive a car by myself untill I get the real licence but now it's close! In 30 days I will have the license.
So this last week has been very cool! A lot of work, but it has payed off! I just hope that I will do decent on the history test too.

Other than that nothing has happened. I study for the most time, so I don't have much time over for different things!

Or well... I just remembered a lot of things that has happened :)

I have kind of got a friend in school, finally! His name is Bryan and is in my English class! He is cool, very "dude-ish" but I think it's funny! Stereotypical American, hehe! And today I got an additional friend, extremely Thugish, I think his name was John. Not sure though, he talked very... thugish, so I kind of didn't get what he said! But he was cool too, informed me a bit about the school and stuff!

On Saturday me and my roommate was going to have a night out. We was going to eat dinner and then go to a movie. First of all we could not find a restaurant without a waiting time under 30 minutes... we went to around 5 different places and at last we found one that was not packed with people. We sat down, and looked at the menu, they had three fish dishes and no vegetarian dishes (I don't eat meat) so I choose a salmon dish, and a ceasar sallad on the side. The waitor gave me my drink and my sallad and says that he just remembered that they was out of salmon... thanks, now we can't leave because we would be late for the movie if we did, andwe have already gotten things that we would have tio oay for if we did leave... So I ordered another fish dish instead, it tasted ok though, but it was just irritating. After the meal we headed to the movies. We had ordered the tickets online and payed an extra fee to not have to stay in line. When we got to the theater it is a very long line, and we passed it to find the machine where we was supposed to get our tickets from, and offcourse it was broken. So we had to stay in line anyways allthough we had payed extra for not doing just that exact thing. When we got to the window the woman behind the glass could not help us to get our money back that we had payed extra, so we had to see a manager. And offcourse, he could not help us either... But we bargained so we got a free soda ( which was worth 2 dollars more than we had payed extra), so we settled for that. Finally we sat down in the theater and started watching the movie, and let me put it like this... If I would have had a knife inside the theater, I would first had sliced the screen in half, then put in in the projector, cut the film up to small pieces an then cut myself... That's how bad it was... NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER SEE 'EPIC MOVIE'!!!!! It sucked soooo bad... It was a parody of all the big movies out there, Pirates of the Carribean, Narnia, Superman Returns etc... and it was not funny at all... I smiled one time during the whole movie. The Indian guy from Harry and Kumar goes to white castle played a roll in the movie and they made a referance to that movie. Other than that I sat and shook my head during the entire movie... so take my advice, don't see it, don't even rent it when it comes to DVD, don't even take your time to download it. If it comes to TV, see 5 minutes of it, at least you can change the channel after the 5 minutes...

So, ok. That is all that has happened since I last posted something on here!

Heroes is on tonight, wohooo!!

Peace out!

Ps. DON'T EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER SEE 'EPIC MOVIE'!!!! IT SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Homework, homework, and yeah... homework!

Homework... anyone want some? I have more than I need! All day after school yesterday and all day today I have done homework. Yesterday it was writing the whole first drought of my English paper, today it was typing the whole thing in on my comptutor. And doing the college success skills homework and studying for the drivers license test... and now I have to read up on some history too, I have a test in two weeks... and I am very worried about it. I like the class and I find it very interesting, but I am so bad at remembering stuff, so I am very worried that I will do very badly on the test.

Allthough I know that my history teacher likes me, hehe there was some problem with our seating chart (he made it so that he could try and learn our names) and he asked some of us to stay to try and solve it. I was one of them, but when I got up to him it was only one girl still there (for some reason I am very slow at gathering my stuff together, I am always in the last bunch to get out of the class room) and I asked if my seat was ok. And he answered me "you are ok, I would let you baby sit my kids" (he had said something about that he wouldn't let anyone baby sit his kids during the class) and then he said that it was not many people in my class that he would say that too! And well... I have not said much during the classes at all... I must have a friendly face or something. It was a nice compliment either way!

I picked up a book from the DMVs' office that would help me to study for the test that I have to do before I can get my learners permit. And it was a joke, when I studied for the test in Sweden I got a book that was 300 pages thick, this book was 50, and it was only half the book that I needed to read. So I feel kind of confident that I will past the test, I just did a practice test too and I passed that, so I think I'll be ok!

Last night Heroes premiered for the spring season! Damn the episode was nice! I love that series. The only problem is that it always leaves you wanting to see more... just like Lost or Prison Break also does. Tonight it is both American Idol and Dirt! So tonight is Tv-night (hehe which night isn't? :D). My roommate found a coupon for The House of Pancakes - eat two meals, pay for one. So we might go there tonight too! We'll see if we are going to the DMV's office too, it would be nice to get my learners permit now, at least I can drive with someone else (with a license) in the car after that!

Ok, now I have to study some history before we are going to the house of pancakes! I have to come up with some good way to remember the information though... if anyone has a great tip, give it to me!!

Bye bye, give me a smile!

Ps. Way to go with the comments on the last post, 6 comment! wohoo!!! A friend said: "You are so stupid, you can't comment on your blog unless you are registred on the site... and who does that?" I ain't saying no names (Unn) but well... think about all the time I spend to update y'all with my life here in the states, you should be able to take 2 minutes out of your lives and register so that you can comment on my posts! Pssshhht people! :P

Update: hehe btw! Check this site out! incredibly funny!

Update 2: You can now leave comments without registrering, thanks to Isak :) Thanks dude!

Hockey and drunken judges

Last Friday me and my roommate went to a hockey game! He got free tickets so it was cool. I'm not really in to hockey but it was an experience. I have never seen so many white trashs' at the same spot. And people didn't seem to care about when someone scored a goal, no no. It was the fights that people werethere for. Sure, people cheered if the local team scored, but when a fight was on, people stood up and screamed! It was kind of... freaky. And everybody screamed "You suck" to the other team... I felt kind of bad for them. We sat in between two families, and that was an experience too. In the front it was a family with three kids, one was really cute and waved at me all the time! The other ones was kind of annoying... The freaky thing about that family was that the mom sat with her baby in one arm, the babys bottle in the other, and in the same hand a Bud Light bottle... That's a sight.
Behind us there was a family with (I think) three kids too, and they were really annoying, kept kicking the seats and screaming "you suck" all the time, and these kids were 10 years old... tops. Also a sight. But it was kind of nice, to do something instead of sitting around the house watching TV or play videogames. Since I'm not 21 yet (two weeks on friday, wohooo) I can not go out to clubs, so TV is the most fun I'm having right now!

Speaking of TV. A new run of American Idol begun yesterday, and it was fun as always. BUT the was toooooooo much commercials and they only showed the bad ones, out of 17 that went through, they showed three. And the rest was fuck ups who think they could sing. One kid even brought his juggling equipment... who in his right mind does that to a singing audition???
One thing that was extremely funny was that one of the judges, no names (Paula Abdul), seemed really fucked up. Either she was really drunk or really high, we laughed at that! (Just like the swedish female judge been a couple of times)
Soon another episode starts! I hope shes drunk again, that would be very funny!

School is great! A lot of work, but that is nice! I feel good about myself after I've finnished all the homework! Soon the first exams will start and I'm kind of nervous about that, not the math actually which I thoug I would flunk, but the english and the history! It's a very high level on the classes, but it's cool anyway!

Oops! The American Idol beginns now! I'll holla later my peeps!

Peace!

Update: She wasn't drunk today... damn!

Update 2: Why doesn't anyone comment my posts?? I am very offended! Come on now people!

I have a dream!

Or many dreams, last night I dreamt that I was robbed on everything I was carrying. My laptop, my Ipod (which the day after died from unknown reasons...), my money, even my shoes were stolen. Not nice to wake up thinking that you don't even have shoes... Luckily it was just a dream!

The first weak of school is done! And it has been nice actually. A lot of homework, but kind of fun homework and since I'm off every other day it is not too much pressure to do them. Now I'm off for 4 days straight! Since it is Martin Luther Kings day on monday everything is closed, and I'm off tuesday as usual so I don't have to go back to school untill wednesday! That is kind of nice, I've done most of my homework too so it will be 4 days of PS3 and bad MTV-shows! Sweeta!

I have not managed to find someone cool to talk to in school yet... I don't really know why, maybe it's because of my stunning beauty, people might get thrown off by it... Or maybe it's because I havent really been giving it much effort. I'm going with the stunning beauty thing, it makes me feel good about myself.

Last night me and my roommate went to visit his friend living around 30 minutes away. It was very nice, we went to Ruby Tuesdays and had dinner/salad bar. Yum! We topped it off with a tallcake, 6 layers of cake and then a big chunk of icecream on top, topped with OREOs! Even more yum!

I have to start writing on my first big English paper this weekend. Just sketch it up a bit. It's supposed to be a describing paper about an event that was very important to me. I think I will write about my trip to Thailand together with my friend Fredrik from Sweden! That was one of the best times I've ever had in my life.
We got a small assignment in todays class where we was supposed to describe something on the campus. I chose the big pond in the middle of all the buildings (as did 99% of the other class mates) it was very peacefull, just sitting there and write down everything you saw. I think I did kind of good, at least it felt like it! Writing is something I really enjoy so I actually think that it will be fun to do that first paper! I hope that I will write it as it's suppose to be written, but I think I know how I'm gonna do it to make it right!

Not much has happened otherwise, today it's 3 weeks untill my 21st birthday which means that I can go out to clubs! (which I've been able to do since I was 18 back in Sweden...) Very nice! On that day me and my room mate is going to Washington D.C. to see Justin Timberlake perform! (Say what you want about him, his latest record was off the hook) So I'm really looking forward to that, I hope he brings a cool guest! I know that Pink (...yay...) is going to be his support. But I'm hoping that he will at least bring Timbaland too. T.I would be crazy too, but I don't think he'll bring him. We'll see!

Back to the Restistance. I need to protect earth from... other humans... so that my ranking in the game can go up. (I'm kind of a natural in that game, I have only played around 50 games, I have never won one, but I never rank worse than 10 in games of 40 people! My HS is off the hook!)

So... Resistance is futile, belive me, it is!
Peace

Weird kids on buses and fake white rappers

I have now started College for real! I have been there two days and it has been great actually! All the professors seem nice and not too hard or strict, which I like! I started at 8:00 A.m. on monday morning with English 111. I think I can really come to like that class since it is much writing involved, which I really like. After that I had a two hour long break so I did the homework we got from the english professor and tried to get my student I.D. But that didn't work since my information wasn't in their system yet for some reason.
Next up was the Western Civ. history class. The teacher was really cool here, very laid back and understanding. He talked very low though which was kind of irritating because you almost couldn't here what he said. But other than that he was really cool, and western civ seems like something I will enjoy. Greek and Roman history is something I find very interesting and much of the focus will be on that, so that's cool!
The next class was math... I thought it would be very boring and hard, but I was actually wrong. It was very basic math so for me it was kind of like a english class instead of a math class, since I didn't know any english math phrases!
We got a lot of homework from each class, but nothing I can't manage since I have every other day off!

So... I took the bus for the first time after school was done. And it went well except for a very annoying and weird guy that I met at the station... He started talking to me instantly and was very fascinated by the fact that I was from Sweden. He wanted to know all about our politics and shit like that, for instance he asked me about our medical system.... who asks about that?? Then he showed me his Motorola Razr, or wait.. he showed me a movie that he recorded on his Motorola Razr... the movie was his cat standing on top of hsi friend and stomping his stomach... wohoooooo, show me again, please!! All I could think was "weeeiirrrdddoooo".

Today I went to school again and it was cool again. Had one class that I didn't have on monday, College Success. That was basically a class to help us new college students to ease in to the whole college mentality. So that felt good!

I rode the bus back home after school today again... and once again I met a weird kid. Not the same guy as before (allthough he stepped on the bus right when it was about to leave, but he didn't see me, pheeew), no no, it was a different guy, who was even more weird than the first guy. He asked me if I was married... I said no, he said "good... cause that's cool in the beginning, but then it just sucks", then he asked me if I had any kids, I said "No... I'm 20 years old..". This guy had kids... two of them (he was also 20 years old). The first kid he got when he was 14... with his 30 year old high school teacher... classy. Hope he got an A in that class, otherwise it was a total rip off! The other kid he got was actually not his, it was his girlfriends kid that the father walked out of and he took care of it. So that was nice at least! Fortunantly he didn't get on the same bus as I did, so I got rid of him at the bus stop!

The other night a new series premiered on VH1. The (white) rapper show. The name pretty much says it all. Take ten white rappers, add a price of 100,000 dollars and fame and there you have it. The only problem with the show was that it was soooo fake. It was so obvious that the "rappers" where actors. And kind of bad actors too. This one guy kept saying that he was the "King of the (Sub)Burbs" and called out "Ghetto Revelation" like every fifth second, extremely annoying. I only watched the show because I thought that one of my favourite rappers, The Saurus, was on it. And I'm kind of glad he wasn't...

I have actually done all the homework I need to do untill friday, so I can chill tomorrow and play my PS3! I love my PS3! It's so buutifull!

I will report soon again! Patience my young Padawans, patience.

GTHDC downloading...

So, I finally got my PlayStation 3! Found one in a Toys R Us store! I'm very happy, because this was my christmas gift that I never got, because the machine will not be released in Europe untill March and they were out everywere in the U.S untill now!

I bought Resistance: Fall Of Man too. A first person shooter (FPS) in where you play a American soldier fighting in England against an alien invasion that slowly takes over the whole Europe. The graphics are awesome, the control is sweet as hell, the story is kind of bad but it works and the atmosphere is totally bitchin'. I would say a... 9 out of 10!

I had read a lot about the consol, but I found a lot of stuff that's really cool. For instance you can connect basically everything that goes in to a USB port. A hard drive, a webcam, a keyboard, a rocket launcher, a microwave, a coffee machine, a dancing santa. Whatever has a USB contact on the end of a chord! Very nice. I'm not sure if you can plug your Ipod in to it and play your songs on there, since Microsoft has that function on their Xbox 360... I doubt that they would give that function up just like that.
The coolest thing I found though was the fact that you can install and additional Operative System (OS). I know that Linux works, and I've heard that Mac OS works too, I wont try it yet though, I'm scared of fucking something up. But with an additional OS you can do a lot of cool stuff, basically use the machine as a regular computor. You can load emulators and play old Super NES games, use text processing programs etc etc. Me like!
It has built in wireless internet connection. And since we have a wireless router here I can surf the web and download cool stuff to the machine. I had a little trouble getting it to work, it would have contact with the router for 2 minutes and then lose it. I searched the net and found out that if you disabled all the SSID on the router that problem would go away (I'm writing this if someone that reads it has the same problem), since I did that it has worked perfectly!

If you log in to the Playstation 3 store you can download games and stuff for a small amount of dollars. And some Demos of games for free! I've downloaded a demo of Motorstorm, a crazy car game played mostly in the dirt with incredible graphics and cool effects! Right now I'm downloading Gran Turismo HD Concept (GTHDC), and it is actually the full game! It was available for a limited time! Very nice.

For those back in Sweden that wonders what the whole thing cost, I payed 4850 krones for the consol (60 gig version) and the game! Very cheap if you compare it to the "around 6300 krones" that only the consol is said to cost in Sweden when it releases in March.

My gaming name is Gogaku, so if anyone wanna play with me over the net, just holla!

Tomorrow is the first day of school and I'm actually mostly excited! It will be nice to see how the schools are here in the U.S and to see if I'll find someone that I may see as a potential new friend!

Will write more during the week and tell ya'll how the school was.

Peace out!

They ate Nichole Richie

Today I woke up early and my roommate enters the room and the first thing he says is "Nichole Richie is dead, they ate her". I said... ok... that's strange, and I asked if she really was dead and who it was that ate her. My friend answers yes and that the other fish ate her. Fish?? Ahhhh he means Paris and Lindsay... Unfortunantly no... It turns out that it's his other friends fish that he named Nichole Richie (Probably because she was spoiled and bitchy... what goes around comes around...bitch) that got eaten by the other fish in the tank.

Oh, and btw... I rock! I did a placement test the other day and I did much better than I thought I would. I almost got a full score on the english part, which means that I can go directly to college level english! The math part wasn't that good, I need to attend two classes before going to the college level on that, but at least it was better than I thought it would be! We had a introduction class the other day and I sat by this stereotypical American kid, he could not stop talking and I actually caught a glimpse of his placement test score... and hehe I totally kicked his ass on the english part! And I don't even have english as my first language, I laughed extremely hard on the inside.

I am now officially a college man! I regitsred for 4 classes this thursday. English, History, Math (algebra) and College Success! I will attend school 12 hours a week, (12 credits) but it is a lot of work outside of school, so it might seem like a small amount of hours, but it really isn't.
We had orientation yesterday, an introduction for the international students. There were six of us, I was the only Swede. It was kind of cool actually. We learned about American culture (which basically was total bullshit... but I kept a straight face) and a bit about all the other international students culture. Did you know that in Vietnam they are really religious?? I do... I think that excersice would have been better suited for americans actually (no offence... ok, maybe a little) Even my roommate laughed when I told him what they said about the american culture.
So ok, that part was kind of unnecessary and some of the things that was brought up just made me angry. but it was cool to meet some people that is in the same situation as I am. We had a tour of the campus and saw the library for instance. That was really cool, they had a math helping center, (which I will live in the first weeks) a tutoring center and many more different helping centers! Very nice if you are weak in any subject!

Today I went to the college again to buy the books that I needed for my classes. It was extremely expensive... 350 dollars for 6 books... thanks a lot. Next time I will look up the books I need and purchase them online, I bet that will bring the price down.
After that I went to get a haircut, and since I had not seen a hairdresser for maybe.... 7 years (I had dreadlocks first and then I shaved them off and had a shaved head for a long time) I had no idea what type of cut I wanted to get. So I got some magazines with different cuts in them and I picked one out. And guess what... IT SUCKS! It looks nothing like the picture and it's basically the exact cut that I did NOT want (short on the sides, long at the top... hey, I'm 12 years old). I just realised that I look like a lesbian, yes a lesbian... So tomorrow I'll shave it off again. That's 12 dollars I'll never see again...

That's pretty much all that has happened since I last published something. School begins on monday and I'm kind of excited actually, a bit nervous, but mostly excited!

So to end this post I have to quote New York: "Love me more, BITCHES!"

Seacrest, OUT.

I love Dirt!

Dirt is a new television show that premiered last night, starring no one else but Courteney Cox (She played Monica on Friends, I guess she got a divorce since she is not Arquette any more...).

The show is about a female editor (Courteney) at two "gossip" magazines and she does anything in her power to get that hot rumour or shot of a celebrity. The story was great, how it was filmed was awesome and the acting was really great! So check that out when it gets to a country near you! (Most conveniantly your own country, it's kind of annoying to go to another country just to watch a TV show). It airs here in the States at 10 pm (eastern time) on Tuesdays on FX. So check it out if you live here!

So a little me time; I have been to the college I'm gonna attend to now. The first day it was just a meeting with the international guidance councelor, I just got settled in right and got a LOT of info... a bit overwhelming at the time, but I think everything has sunk in now.
Today I took a placement test at the college, I needed to take that to show what level of studies I was on. It was an English part and a Math part. The english part was mostly reading comprehension and grammar, the math part was really hard since that is my weakest subject. They wouldn't tell me my total score, but the lady I talked to after the test said I did awesome on the english part and ok on the math part! So that was a big relief! I was really worried that I would flunk math totally, so an "ok" is great for me!

Tomorrow I'm going back to the college to see a councelour and register for classes. I hope my schedule doesn't get too intense... the international guidence councelour told me that that could happen since I'm kind of late with my registration. That would change for the next semester though, so if I have one semester of really hard work, I can live with that. On friday we have orientation; a tour of the campus and some info for the international students that are attending the college. I am the only Swedish one, so that will be interesting. They are going to put up a picture of me doing the peace sign, gangsta style, on their homepage (Sweden represeeent)... or not.

I am trying to get all my papers together to get my license too. There's a lot of paper work to even get a learners permit, and when I have gotten that, it takes an additional 30 days before I can get the license. Good thing it's cheap. It will cost around 20 dollars, very cool! Right now I will either have to catch a ride with my roommate early in the morning before he goes to work, or take the bus. The bus would be cool, if only the busstation wouldn't be a 30 minute walk away in a neighborhood where everything looks the same... If I tried to get to that station you would never read another post here, since I would be lost and never find my way back. So I have to walk that way a couple of times with someone that knows the way back before I can get to it on my own. But when I do, taking the bus will not be a problem. It would be much more easy just to go by car, but since it such a hazard to get the license, I have to take the bus untill that is done.

Oh, and I got my health insurance too! Hehe I feel so grown up! I choose... HEALTH INSURANCE, go health insurance, GO!! And quoting pokemon just took me down from the grown up pedistal... Ahh well, if you have to quote pokemon, you have to.

Ok, that's all for me this time, there is a America's Next Top Model Marathon on on VH1... so I'm gonna watch something else... maybe...

Peace Out!
